The World Health Organization ended the COVID-19 public health emergency in May 2023, but the healthcare industry is still trying to recover. Labor shortages continue to impact hospitals and physicians, leading to increased burnout among all levels of staff. 

According to a study, more than half of healthcare workers surveyed said they are experiencing burnout, with nurses and other staff members reporting higher levels of stress. How VIP Is Preventing Burnout in Healthcare

Benefits

  • Health Insurance: Our full-time employees have a choice of four different medical plans, so they can choose what’s best for them and their families. 

  • Dental Insurance: Full-time employees receive dental coverage that covers all services, from cleanings to dentures.

  • Vision Insurance: We know some great ophthalmologists and optometrists, and we offer vision benefits to full-time employees.

  • Long-Term Disability: This coverage partially replaces an employee’s income throughout the disability period. We cover 100 percent of the premium for full-time employees.

  • FSA and HSA: We offer a flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) for employees to save funds for healthcare costs.

  • Basic Life and AD&D: We pay for accidental death and dismemberment and basic life coverage for our full-time employees.

  • Employee assistance: This resource is available 24/7 and enables employees to confidentially talk with professionals about financial concerns, mental health, childcare concerns, and more.

  • 401(k): All employees may contribute to a 401(k) plan after they’ve been with VIP for at least six months. We match contributions up to 3 percent, and our contributions are immediately vested.

Time Off

As much as we love to see our employees’ smiling faces every day, we also want them to take the time they need to rest and recuperate. When one of our work locations closes for a holiday, full-time employees receive holiday pay—no matter when an employee’s start date was.

We also offer a generous paid time off (PTO) plan for full-time employees. Full-time employees start accruing PTO hours on their first day and can accrue up to three weeks of PTO in their first year.

We strive to support our employees and create an open, honest, and transparent environment. VIP has an open-door policy in which we value open lines of communication. In this policy, our business unit leaders support employees on a day-to-day basis and ensure they have what they need to be successful in their roles.
