Celebrating Excellence in Ophthalmology: Dr. John Doane Honored with 2024 Sheets Martin Lecture Award

As part of the award, Dr. Doane delivered the Sheets Martin Lecture, a recognition given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology and refractive surgery. The honor reflects his ongoing leadership, clinical excellence, and commitment to advancing vision care. Dr. Doane shared his reflections on receiving the award:

“I’m incredibly grateful to have received the 2024 Sheets Martin Lecture Award. It was an honor to share insights with such an esteemed group of colleagues and leaders in ophthalmology.

Standing next to the VisuMax 800, I’m reminded of the rapid advancements in laser vision correction technology and the bright future ahead for refractive surgery. Innovation continues to push the boundaries of what we can achieve for our patients, and I’m excited to be part of this journey.
